This tour is designed with my favorite 'pet peave' in mind: The so-called "Dark" Middle Ages.
On this tour, we will discover that the "Dark" Ages weren't really so dark at all, and were in fact, full of happiness and creativity!
Watch the early Middle Ages suddenly come to life as we visit rich mosaics, playful fresco scenes, amazing relics! Places we will visit on this tour include the churches of Sts. Cosmos and Damian; San Clemente (€10pp extra entrance fee); the monastery of the Quattro Coronati and the Scala Sancta.
An incredible opportunity to see artwork in its original setting, in areas of Rome you might not otherwise visit.

Places we will visit include Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, the Pantheon, St. Louis of France Church, piazza St. Eustachio, and if time permits, piazza Navona and St. Agnes Church.
